Smooth & Uniformed Surfaces

Patch & Repair

This old retail space is in a 120 year old historical building in Idaho Springs. The show room area went through years of neglect and required an extra amount of patch work to the damaged plaster walls.

Hundreds of staples had to be removed and filled. The walls had numerous dings and dents that needed to be patched, sanded smooth and primed.

Sanding Wood Surfaces Smooth

Some painting companies will just paint over previous paint that is chipped and peeling with total disregard as to the smoothness of the surfaces they are paint over.

The old wooden window frames had to be completely sanded down to raw wood to eliminate layers of old paint. Making all surfaces uniform prior to painting is what prep work is all about.

Two Coats of Paint
We always apply two coats of paint. No exceptions. You would be surprised how many painting companies cut corners and apply only one coat. We aren’t. We see it all the time.
Back Rolling
Sprayed on paint has a different sheen as compared to paint that is rolled on. So we always back roll (run a roller over wet surfaces) any and all sprayed surfaces. This eliminates any flashing caused by touch ups that are applied with a brush or roller after the job is completed.
