Baseboards & Trim

Attention to Detail

The walls can look great after painting but if the baseboards and trim are all scuffed up the the whole look just falls short of expectations. So many of our projects start out with our clients desire to just paint walls and ceilings but after they see the end result they realize that the fresh paint against the old paint on the baseboards just will not do. We always recommend that our clients consider freshening up or completely repainting their trim. It makes for better lines in the end and the cost is not that much more since we are there masking off for the walls anyways,.

Painting trim is all about attention to detail. It doesn’t take much to spoil an otherwise perfect paint job. There is nothing worse than a wavering cut line. At Evergreen Painting Services, we are downright obsessive about the details, and it shows in our work. The measure of a good painter is all in their lines!

Just as in all house painting, intense yet efficient preparation of all surfaces to be painted is the key to a great finished product. Applying the paint without doing the necessary precision prep work is far too common in the industry. We never skip the hard work of getting things ready for fantastic results.

Our 4-Step Interior Baseboard & Trim Procedure

Mask all floors entirely. Move or mask all furniture, fixtures, windows and any other surface that should not receive any paint. We cover all vulnerable areas to insure no drips or overspray gets on anything. Period.
Eliminate any dust, dirt or blemishes on all surfaces to receive paint. When necessary we apply a cleaning solution or a stripping solution prior to priming and or painting to make certain all surfaces are clean of any stains that could reappear.
Fill nail holes and small dings and patch larger holes. Sand all surfaces that are rough or have raised grain to make for a smooth and uniform surface.
All baseboards and trim receive two coats of paint. All primers and or paint are either brushed on or sprayed depending on the size of the project.
