Scope of Work
Prep and paint kitchen cabinet face frames, doors and drawers with cabinet grade paint.
Challenges
Painting kitchen cabinets requires a procedure that needs to be followed with discipline and extreme attention to detail in order to insure the same results without variance. Hiring a company with the knowledge and experience is important but even more important is hiring a company with the integrity to follow the proper standard practices and procedures that guarantees quality results. There are a lot of companies trying to get into the cabinet painting business as of late. Be careful that the company you choose has the proper facilities to paint off site as well as taking care to do a good job while on site.
Masking
Proper masking is crucial to good results. Taking the time to protect all adjacent surfaces from new coatings is essential to proper cabinet painting.
Degreasing & De-glossing
Removing dirt, grease and other residues is crucial to surface preparation. After degreasing we sand all faces frames and exterior facing cabinets to de-gloss the clear coat finish and make all the surfaces ready to bond properly with the prime coat.
Priming
Using the proper priming products and applying them with the right sprayer is essential to quality result. We only use HVLP (High volume low pressure) spray rigs to apply all coatings to the cabinet surfaces. HVLP sprayers are the same system used to apply paint in the auto industry. HVLP lays down a smooth consistent coating without sags and over application of paint which can compromise that integrity of the finish coat.
Proper Venting
We take great precaution to properly mask off the work area to make sure that no fumes escape into your household. We use state of the art extracting fans and venting tubes to push the VOCs outside keeping our clients safe from any potential toxic fumes.
Shop Prep
Working on doors and drawers at our shop allows us to thoroughly prep through every step without skipping a step . A lot of our competition will set up a makeshift shop in your garage or room inside your house. They will invariably rush through the process often time skipping steps along the way. Our focused attention to detail is our first priority.
Paint Booth
Having a spray booth allows us to completely control the conditions to achieve superior results with any coating application. Controlling the temperature and extracting all settling overspray with high a powered extracting plenum guarantees
